動物屍製鞋惹爭議 太陽日報2012年02月28日(
蛇皮手袋或鞋子屢見不鮮，但附有蛇頭的高跟拖鞋你又敢穿嗎？德國一名時裝設計師利用鴿子、刺蝟、蛇等動物屍體，製成設計前衞、但甚具爭議的鞋履，據聞走在潮流尖端的Lady GaGa亦曾幫襯。
四十五歲設計師席費爾斯坦（Iris Schieferstein）其中一款鞋子用上一對鴿子的屍體，全身有頭連腳，作為高跟拖鞋的裝飾。鴿子標本作展翅姿態，栩栩如生，穿者必須克服心理障礙，才能把腳趾塞入鴿子的爪下。
席費爾斯坦表示，很想知道身為動物的感覺，當她穿上這雙用真鳥做的鞋子時，感覺就像飛在天上。她強調用已死的動物製作鞋子，原料是來自柏林一間相熟的肉店，但仍不時惹來動物權益組織到工作室外示威。
Lady GaGa也訂購
每雙鞋履製作需數個月，席費爾斯坦花一周把骨肉褪出，外皮交予皮革匠做防腐處理，之後將外皮套在模特兒的腳上，方便配底墊及上線，產量有限。席費爾斯坦說，Lady GaGa曾向她訂購數對動物屍體鞋，因時間緊迫只能在火車上動工，嚇得其他乘客離開車廂，不過Lady GaGa似乎未曾於公開場合穿着過。

回覆刪除My view is, when there are so many non-animal materials for making clothes and shoes, we should avoid killing animals for dressings; unless, we have got no choice, say, for our surival, we have to eat their meat and wear their fur/skin.

We study applied ethics- snimal ethics. We are doing philosophy on generalizing the concept and value of ways in living and dealing with animals. We are NOT to investigate this person's personal mental illness. Let the psychiatrist look after him, if necessary.
On the other hand, I also have to remind you that some Chinese people do behave the same when they boil the "dragon-tiger-phoenix soup". When you open the lid, you can find one whole poisonous snake with head. tail, the whole dead body in original skin..., a dead cat body, and a dead chicken body, all remain intact in the soup! Can you drink such soup???

刪除In many countries (including HKG), there are laws demanding respect to dead bodies and decent and due care of dead bodies forbidding unlawful trading of parts of the dead bodies or whole dead bodies.
But such laws refer to human dead bodies only. It is up to pet owners who should decide how to carefully handle the dead bodies of their pets.
Should people be allowed to show off preserved bodies of hunted animals (e.g. deer heads) on walls at home? Is it a disrespect?
